Maxine,

I'm about to say something that might piss off the entire personal development industry:

You don't need to do more work on yourself.

I know, I know. Coming from someone who runs a company called The School of Becoming, that sounds like blasphemy.

But I'm so tired of watching brilliant women get trapped in this endless loop of:

"I'm not ready yet. I need to heal this first. I need to work on my worthiness. I need to do more inner child work. I need to clear this block. THEN I'll be ready to step into my power."

And two years later, they're still "working on themselves" - and still not scaling the business, claiming the visibility, or living the life they actually want.

Here's what I've come to believe after watching this play out hundreds of times:

The "not ready yet" story is the block.

Not your childhood. Not your trauma. Not your limiting beliefs.

The endless pursuit of readiness.

Because here's the uncomfortable truth: You're using healing as a delay tactic.

Not consciously. But every time you tell yourself "I need to fix this one more thing before I'm ready" - you're giving yourself permission to stay exactly where you are.

And the industry loves this. Because if you're never quite healed enough, never quite ready enough, never quite worthy enough? You’ll continue investing in programs that keep you in the ‘never quite ready’ cycle.

What if there's nothing to fix?

What if the version of you who can handle the visibility, the money, the success, the impact - is already here, and you've just been taught to distrust her?

Here's what I've learned: You don't become ready by healing. You become ready by deciding.

And then your nervous system catches up. Your identity adjusts. Your biology adapts.

But it happens in that order. Decision first. Evolution second.

Not the other way around.

So no, you don't need to do more work on yourself.

You need to stop hiding behind the work and start being the woman you've been preparing to become.

More love,
Tracy

P.S. I'm not saying healing doesn't matter. I'm saying it doesn't have to happen before you're allowed to rise. Sometimes the rising IS the healing.
